The following alarms may occur with your Acetec dehumidifier with older controls. If you have the panel shown below, this guide is relevant for you:

1 = Communication
C = Damp according to risk curve
F = Filter alarm
E = Sensor alarm (on the processor board)
E1 = Sensor
E2 = Temperature
E4 = Moisture content
E7 = A combination of alarms E1, E2 and E4
E8 = Temperature outside range (resets when back within range)
E16 = Moisture content outside range (resets when back within range)
For troubleshooting Alarm 1:
Check the modular cable between the processor card in the dehumidifier and the control panel, remove the connectors on the processor card and control panel, and click them back into place. Once the connectors are in place, wiggle them slightly to check for any loose connections in the female and male connectors.
Inspect the cable for any damage and check that the connectors are clean.
If the above does not help, please contact us.
For troubleshooting alarm C:
Perform a function check. If you have one of our PD models, you will find a video below.
When rotating:
Disconnect the dry and wet air hoses – set the hygrostat to the lowest value. Then check through the hose connections that the sorption block is rotating and that warm air is flowing out of the smaller hole.
Then please contact us.
For troubleshooting alarms F:
Replace the filter and vacuum the machine as needed. Vacuum gently and avoid touching sensitive components. An instructional video is available below.
For troubleshooting alarms E1-16:
Start by restarting your dehumidifier by disconnecting it from the power supply for 15 seconds, then restarting it. If the fault persists:
Open the lid of the dehumidifier and ensure that the processor card is properly connected:

If the above does not help, you will need a new processor card, contact us here.
