Applies to all our dehumidifiers with a built-in circuit board as a control system. The LED on the small circuit board is located next to the knob (red) used to set the humidity target value.
The LED lights up if the humidity is more than 2% higher than the set humidity value.
The LED is lit if the humidity is more than 2% drier than the set humidity value.
This applies regardless of how the humidity control switch is set.
For dehumidifiers that do not have a display showing the moisture content in plain text, you can use a method to see what moisture content the dehumidifier perceives at a given moment, see below.
Option 1:
The diode is lit and you want to know the actual humidity level. Carefully turn the setpoint knob upwards. When you reach 2% from the actual humidity level, the yellow LED will start flashing. If you turn it further upwards, the LED will go out. You have then exceeded the humidity level that the dehumidifier is detecting at that moment.
Please note that the fan must be running to provide an accurate reading.
Alt. 2:
The diode is related and you want to know the actual moisture content. Carefully turn the setpoint knob downwards. When you are approximately 2% away from the actual moisture value, the yellow LED will start to flash. If you turn it further upwards, the LED will light up. You have then exceeded the moisture content that the dehumidifier is detecting at that moment.
Please note that the fan must be running to provide an accurate reading.
