Update EvoControl

The instructions below apply to all units fitted with EvoControl.

Step 1)

• Download the update file for your generator and save the file to a USB stick.
• (No password is required.)
• Do not rename the file.
• The file must not be located in a directory.
• No other files on the USB stick should have names beginning with ”firmware” or ”evo”.
• The USB stick must be formatted to the ”FAT32” file system.

Step 2)

Disconnect the unit from the mains.

Step 3)

Open the unit and locate the circuit board.

Step 4)

Plug the USB stick into the USB socket.

Step 5)

Reconnect the power supply to the unit.

Step 6)

Please wait about 1 minute whilst the main board is being updated.

Step 7)

If the display also needs new software, this is done automatically from the motherboard and a progress bar is displayed during the process (approx. 4 minutes).

Step 8)

Remove the USB stick.

Step 9)

Screw the covers back on and close the unit.
